The Balancing Act

One of the most fascinating things, I love watching is people doing a balancing act on a rope. They are poised and composed and exhibit inner peace while doing an activity which may actually cost them their lives. The calmest emerge as winners.

In today's times, we all are also doing balancing acts all the time. Toddlers, children, teenagers and adults are all trying to lead a balanced life. The word balance is the cool quotient of todays times. We talk of  a balanced diet, a balanced life, balancing work and pleasure, balancing joys and sorrows, balancing friends and family. The list goes on and on. Many a times when we go wrong in life are times when we loose that balance.

Walking the tight rope every moment of your life is a difficult task. While doing this activity many of us fall, bruise ourselves, are scared to do this balancing act again. Loosing balance is natural, afterall we are humans and prone to err.

What's disappointing is that a lot of people today enjoy imbalanced life and go out of their way to proof that this is the way to live a life. Never loose the desire to be balanced and put in your best effort to attain it, cause true balance is true JOY.

Bit - by - Bit

As an Indian, I think we have all grown up in families who taught us the importance of saving money. Saving small quantity of  money everyday would become huge over a period of time. This habit of Indians saved us from recession which affected the whole world.

Any good deed done bit by bit can become enormous over a period of time. The idea is never to stop doing our bit. The system, the country, society fails when everyone waits for the other to do what they should be doing. Finally nobody does what they are suppose to do. Then we start blaming the system for it. Today, we all  want to do all things at one go and at one moment of time. I would like to quote a proverb that 'Rome was not built in a day. '

If you want to create a creation for which the world will remember you, it has to built over a period of time, even in this age of technology.Great creators are people who thought about their problem continuously and not just for one day. Continuity in any activity undertaken is the mantra for success

Do your bit in terms of saving electricity, conserving the environment, being happy, caring for your parents, helping people in distress. Over a period of time it will become BIG & BIG.

Lost in Transit

We live in a competitive world. We spend all our lives competing either with our classmates, colleagues, family members and ourselves. This fierce desire to compete with every person in our lives makes us insecure and lonely. So what ever we get in life, does not create happiness. However if we don't get what we want in life, it creates depression.

The dreams in our eyes wade away. We start living with a stranger who we don't recognize. The understanding of oneself diminishes. All these negative feelings create a confused human being who gets lost and does not know what they desire.

The biggest misery of life is to have lived and not being remembered. Life is confusing, its tough , it does not give you what you want or desire. The greatest human beings are the ones who have the courage to face these adverse situations and still not lose themselves. They give direction to not only themselves but all lifes they touch.

You may get lost in transit in life but have faith in yourself to find your way back.

Never say never

Usually the people, things or situations you don't want to face or avoid, come back and haunt you. In simple terms, it's like avoiding something you have to do. For students it may be studies, which they keep on postponing. It's not only student that go through these dilemmas but also the teachers who teach themgo through these phases.

When ever assessment is around the corner, this is the catch 22 situation I find myself in. I know, I have to correct papers but somehow find ways to avoid it. In management they say motivation is short-lived, you have to replenish it continuously.

Today am using the blog to motivate myself to accomplish this task. It's always easy to advice others. However today, i am writng to myself and advicing myself.

Like they say, NEVER SAY NEVER

Write to Win

Seeing students write exams always fascinates me. There is so much of their personality that they reveal while writing an exam. Some of the qualities they reveal are discipline, initiative, willing to learn and the most important is attitude.

The desire to be a winner through your writing ability is wading away. Today all students deliberately give mediocre performance and then get mediocre results. We say that the 21st Century belongs to those who excel in their abilities. I often wonder what abilities are we talking about?

There are various ways to be successful in life ( I completely agree). However its small things in life which help you achieve success. The first stepping stone to success can be by writing your paper well and completing it. Never leave a job undone. When you write a exam, you are writing your story of whether you are going to be a winner or loser.

SO WRITE TO WIN

Learning and unlearning

Its really difficult times, nowadays. You are expected to know everything and once you learn, you are expected to unlearn and relearn a new way of doing things.

Blogging for me has been a new learning experience. I was not ready to accept it, felt it did not make a difference to my existence. However a workshop on it, made me realize the benefits that it offer in shaping of my overall personality.

Its truly been a great experience. My advise to all the readers would be dont be scared to learn. Try new things and dont be scared to express yourself.

Festivals in Khandwala College

December is a very important month. It signifies the end of the year and the start of a new year. It's a month where festivity is in the air. The month of December in Khandwala college, is warming up to the festive season.

All the self-finance courses are working hard to make their own festivals a success. It the most exciting time to be on campus. There is so much action, emotion, drama and comedy happening around.

I would like to wish all the students success on their endeavours.

Make it the best time of your life.
